Cherry Cottage
Cherry Cottage
Torry Hill, Kent England
Cherry Cottage and Plum Cottage are a pair of new barn conversions that have recently been renovated to create two charming holiday cottages, which can be rented separately or together (an interconnecting door can enable them to be rented as one large unit). The cottages are in a lovely peaceful setting in glorious countryside on the North Downs.
The cottages have been finished to the highest of standards with lovely double height reception rooms giving a light and spacious feel to the living space. The comfy sofas (one is a double sofa bed) and log burning stove give a really cosy feel to these pretty rooms. The kitchen has limed oak units and granite work surfaces very much in keeping with the farmhouse feel of the Torry Hill cottages.
Upstairs there is a charming bedroom with twin beds in the eaves of both of the Torry Hill cottages with views across the surrounding countryside.
There is a sunny patio garden to the front of each of the Torry Hill cottages with seating for four plus barbeque for those lazy summer days. The cottages benefit from the use of a swimming pool in the summer (outside pool) and a tennis court.
Cherry Cottage and Plum Cottage are part of the Torry Hill Estate and holidaymakers are welcome to make full use of the estate and its 30km of woodland paths and bridle ways. On the estate there is an established circular walk through the elegant parkland and along a Victorian carriage drive.
In the spring, the bluebell woods and blossom from the cherry trees are a sight to behold. There is a riding stable nearby for horse riding and mountain bikes are available for hire together with maps of recommended routes through the estate's woodland.
