All the accommodation is part of the Torry Hill Estate and holidaymakers have the full use of the estate and its 30km of woodland walks and bridle paths. On the estate there is an established circular walk through the elegant parkland and along a Victorian carriage drive.
The county town of Maidstone is 15 miles away to the west and the historical city of Canterbury is within a 25 minute drive.
Further afield the accommodation is well placed for visits to Sissinghurst Castle and Gardens, Leeds Castle, the naval dockyards at Chatham or visit some of the wonderful medieval castles dotted right along the Kent and Sussex coast (we have more castles in Kent than any other county).
Access to the Channel Tunnel is at junction 12 of the M20 and it can be reached in half an hour – Channel crossings take 35 minutes.
For day trips to London, there is a regular service every half an hour from Sittingbourne which takes about an hour. The North Kent coast is only a few miles away, where the reserves of Elmey and Oare offer some of the best bird-watching in the south-east, especially in the winter months.
In the spring, the bluebell woods and blossom from the cherry trees are a sight to behold. There are riding stable nearby for horse riding and mountain bikes are available for hire together with maps of recommended routes through the estate's woodland. In addition, clay pigeon shooting can be organised by prior arrangement at a cost of £45 per person, which includes the cost of cartridges - please contact us for further details as this needs to be booked well in advance of your stay.
